Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 2026

Seesaw is strongly committed to your privacy. We strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy. This document explains how we handle your data.

1. Data Accessed

To provide core functionalities including data synchronization and AI analysis, Seesaw requests access to the following Google API scopes:

2. Data Usage

The accessed Google user data is used exclusively to provide the core features of Seesaw. Your Google Drive access is used only to safely backup and restore your diary data. Your Gemini API tokens are used solely for generating AI responses within the app. We do not use your data for profiling, advertising, or any other unrelated purposes.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal Google user data or diary entries with any third parties. Authentication tokens and your diary entries are never transmitted to our own servers or shared with anyone else.

4. Data Storage & Protection

Seesaw is a "Local-First" application with personal cloud sync. We do not store your diary entries or personal information on our developer servers. Your active data remains securely encrypted and stored on your local device's database (SQLite), and backups are stored directly on your own personal Google Drive.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because we do not store your data on our servers, you have full and absolute control over your data retention. To delete all your data permanently, you can delete the backup files directly from your Google Drive and uninstall the Seesaw application from your device. You can also revoke our application's access permissions at any time through your Google Account Security settings.

6. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display rewarded advertisements within Seesaw. While your personal diary entries and Google Drive data are never shared, AdMob may collect and process certain device information to provide and measure these ads. This may include:

This data is collected directly by Google AdMob and is governed by their privacy policy. For more information on how Google uses this data, please review the Google Privacy Policy.

You can opt-out of personalized advertising by adjusting the ad settings on your Android device (Settings > Google > Ads).
